Twin rear lights and reflectors were Sept 54 (Glass's). Plate looks like OxA 405, but haven't found a convincing match for x after Autumn 54. |

IIRC, the two rear lights legislation was retrospective in that all vehicles had to display two red lights to following traffic after a certain date. It therefore follows that the subject vehicle could have been a pre twin light as new, and retrofitted to comply with the law. The retrospective issue would fit this 1953 plate date very conveniently as it looks home-made. And agree OKA is probably the most convincing combination as seen above. But if there was retrospective legislation, why do so few of our E83Ws have twin lights - wouldn't most of them have been forced to have updates?? |

When you compare film dates and allow for some of the vehicles being in foreign films it doesn’t seem a problem to me. |
