I do it too but only because I mainly do British films and series and so go by registration... If I did more American series I'd go for MY. Interesting point though is that one of the sites I use for numberplate checking sometimes gives you the year the model (reflecting engine and trim) was built. The car I ran through it was registered in 2008 and it came back as a 1999-2000 model even though the car a) had wheels from later models and b) the car was from the car company's press fleet. |
