This definitley a 'Commer', as shown by the central nameplate. There is no room for 'Commer-Karrier' on the nameplate even if some were sold like it. As far as its possible to say without seeing more, its a 1959 Commer TS3 as shown here... http://www.chrishodgephotos.co.uk/funpics/pixww/2004/04az36.jpg 'Commer' and 'Karrier' were two distinct names. 'Karrier' remained a separate name for some smaller trucks and those supplied for local government contracts. |

'TS3' is the name of the two-stroke diesel engine. http://www.oldengine.org/members/diesel/Technical/TS3.htm With its introduction the 'R-Series' became the 'C-Series'. The model we see here is a Mk.IV (1959-62). |
