How do you know it's an '82? |

First year of UK import and last year of pre-facelift pick-up. |

http://howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/hyundai_pony_gls Only kind of pony I could find dating back to 1982. The UK has not been kind to them. just 1 left. |

Were they sold in other European countries than the UK? I've never ever seen the Pick Up-version, nowhere. Even the regular Hatchback was rare (resp.in Germany never sold). I remember, that my first Hyundai ever, an early 80ies Pony Hatchback, I've seen in 1985 in Eindhoven/NL. Any any other 1980ies Hyundai's, IIRC, also in NL, in the last years on classic car events (resp.on the visitor's parking ) |

P.S: @cko: better don't trust this page too much. There are mistakes. http://howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=VW+K70 There was never a RHD-version of the K 70 S (of which only one survivor is known in Germany, plus two in the luxemburgish collection of my friend Joseph, coming originally from Belgium IIRC). And the basic version (without L) was never available s RHD either. It seems, that howmanyleft.co.uk wants to list the engine-versions, but they mixed them up with the trim-lines -- Last edit: 2011-08-24 23:42:12 |

Could they be ones imported later on? If you click on the S version most of them appear to have been first registered in the last ten years or so. |

No, because there are actually only three exisiting K 70 S known. And the only Continental cars, whih came to GB, were these two from Belgium, which were destroyed by some UK-morons: http://www.kaeferblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/vw-k70-variant.jpg In the other direction went (as far I know) only "TRK 539M" ( /vehicle_181997-Volkswagen-K70-Typ-48-1973.html ), "VBN 888K" and the "VW K70" (all in 1999). |

Oik, I wont trust the site too much. But you must admit, the availability of such data makes the old pictures more interesting, and of particular relevance to the current times. Sadly, such information is NOT publicly accesible for the US. |
