Opel Olympia 1950 (1950–53) In January 1950, the Olympia got a modernized body. But the car was still based on the pre-war Olympia.(Wikipedia) |

It depends on the rear window and the trunk, in 1950 it was still smaller. From 1951 it´s enlarged and the trunk got a lid with the spare-wheel inside. The cars also received a column shift. /vehicle_20773-Opel-Olympia-1950.html /vehicle_14317-Opel-Olympia-OL-51-1951.html -- Last edit: 2010-06-23 20:58:26 |

Where and when was this scene shot? Bomb explosion? Air crash? Earthquake? This one belongs to that: /vehicle_288085-Ford-Model-A.html -- Last edit: 2010-03-19 22:24:10 |

Could it be the Good Friday Earthquake of 1964 in Alaska? |

@ DAF555: Thanks, I never realized that was the difference between 1950 and 1951 models. @ CougarTim: I don't think many Olympias could be found in Alaska... |
