This Volga distrubs me. This special brightwork (sometimes) came in the special purposed GAZ 24-24s with V8 5.53-litre Tchaika engine. Twin exhaust is another element can to distinguish in 100 % between (R4 & V8) Volgas. Pity, it's imposible to see here. I will celebrate first truly GAZ 24-24 on site. -- Last edit: 2010-08-23 19:19:32 |

Is that: looks like 24-24? -- Last edit: 2010-08-25 03:16:27 |

Extra brightwork didn't indicate GAZ 24-24 with 100 % sure. However V8 Volgas were luxury equipped sometimes, not always because they were KGB (later SVR), GRU and GAI special cars with "sleeper look" prefered. Let's search for twin exhaust Volgas, such like this one GAZ 24-34 (based on 2410): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K72p58hM_jI Also V8 version of 3102 - GAZ 31013 - has twin exhaust: http://static1.album.ee/files/97/413/large_10197413_N83V.jpg -- Last edit: 2010-08-28 00:34:52 |

I found interesting prospect with extra knowlegde for GAZ-24 engines. http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/4914/wogagaz2404.jpg Finnish GAZ-24's importer - "Konela AB" trade from Helsinki - proposed in 70s the optional V6 3-litre Ford "Essex" unit! |
