I think that's actually a brand new 1990 model. Built on the Cadillac Brougham body. |

80-84 Funeral Coach. The commercial chassis was dropped after the 1984 model year; in turn coachbuilders couldn't get that extra tall windshield. |

I've been adding model names for some of the Funeral Coaches, although most of the pre-1987 ones I've left due to the possibility of being based on Sedan DeVille rather than Fleetwood Brougham (although like limos it seems Fleetwoods are most commonly used) Some of the Funeral Coaches are also missing a year. -- Last edit: 2012-06-07 00:13:24 |

^Actually up until 1984 the Funeral Coaches shouldn't have a model they are based on. They were built from the Commercial Chassis, which much the same as a truck chassis left the factory without a body and it was up to the coachbuilder to fabricate one. Everything from the windshield back was made by an independent contractor. |

They built the whole body themselves? |

Right. I'll change back the pre-1984 ones I renamed. But it's OK for ones made after that to have model names? -- Last edit: 2012-06-07 00:49:12 |
