AFAIK Mercedes-Benz never built such a convertible. Was it a Crayford conversion ? |

190C is the model name of the conversion: AKH Fahrzeugbau GmbH of Eutin, Germany, offered the AKH 190C from 1987 in cooperation with CARO International GmbH, Hamburg. An estimated 11 - 14 units were produced between mid-1987 and mid-1989 - each of them more expensive than a standard R107 300 SL back then. ![]() |
