Not really visible... |

Japanese? |

The ambulance have to avoid it and almost has a crash. |

That does not make it more visible. |

Thats make it worth listing. The fact that it could be a Cortina in USA would be enough though... |

Shape looks very compatible but black pillars on a Cortina? If they are British tourists in a US state they stayed on the left part of the road (by habbit) and the ambulance had to avoid them.. so Cortina and the dangerous manoeuvre make sense together..? -- Last edit: 2009-06-10 12:33:42 |

Indeed, it is not a pure background car then. |

Definitely a MkII Cortina, but we don't all drive on the wrong side of the road by habit! Hyundai made these under licence: was that sold in the US? |

Other Cortinas seen in the USA... /vehicle.php?id=132074 /vehicle.php?id=182887 Exported by Ford UK for some time I believe. White-walls make it unlikely to be a UK car. -- Last edit: 2009-06-10 15:42:09 |

White walls could have been added later on. |

I know British drivers don't drive on the wrong side in other countries, as everyone else doesn't drive on the wrong side in UK roads (would be more dangerous than any contageous disease!) but has always been a 'cliche' for film makers! There's always someone not very concentrated to the nationality of the road and a complication is imminent to make the script more spicy.. |

The new photo - dark green 2 door - has a GT dash and sill-level sidestripes, though boot badge unlike UK GT and no rear wing badging. If this is a GT spec, what was it called in US? |

Yes GT . missing its rear wing badge, 67-68 spec with less bright work than '69. |
