...which is why this truck pops up where it shouldn't. In this scene, Goober and the Taylors are supposed to be on their way back from an auto show in Raleigh, North Carolina (the state where the series was set), yet at the time (1968) Coors Beer wasn't distributed in that part of the U.S. Thus, this scene reveals it was shot out west, specifically in Los Angeles/Hollywood and likely at an actual gas station on the Sunset Strip. |

The pump at the back on the right hasn't had the logo covered up. Could it be Shell? -- Last edit: 2009-05-19 20:00:51 |

Yep, I think that's exactly what it is, a Shell. Update: Definitely a Shell. It's also used in a "Gomer Pyle, USMC" episode and you can actually see a window display with Shell logo. -- Last edit: 2009-11-13 00:25:36 |

1966 due to the location and shape of the fender emblem. Not a C-Series (Conventional), but a Low Cab Forward model, i.e. L-Series for this truck line: (C-Series // L-Series) -- Last edit: 2015-03-29 05:02:59 |
