Scene set in Amsterdam, Netherlands. But actually filmed in USA I suppose... And with a fake Dutch firetruck, cf /vehicle_190808-Toyota-Camry-1992.html |

Black badges on the rear: 1983+. Small rear bumper, round headlamps and black roof: Spécial. And indeed, this is not Amsterdam... |

It's the Eastern Market in Washington, DC. The building had actually been severely damaged in a fire in April 2007, so when this was filmed here in September 2007 (Link to "www.washingtonpost.com") damage was still evident and renovations were underway. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Market,_Washington,_D.C. |

An outbreak of old cars in a film set in the present day can often be a sign that a scene wasn't filmed in the country/region/continent where it is supposed to be taking place. -- Last edit: 2009-04-05 23:54:49 |

I photographed this car at a Cars & Coffee event in the DC area in 2016. There can't be too many white 2CVs of this era in the area, so it's probably the same car: No results for the plate on CarFax. |

1988 (badge without chevron, black plastic units around tail lights) Starting to think that only the Club got headrests for 1988 while the Special had bench seats until the end. -- Last edit: 2020-07-10 21:20:11 |
