Were marketed over the Spanish Citroën dealer network, seemingly coachbuilt at Vigo (but most likely not by Citroën; actual coachbuilder uncredited). So even though they had to be converted elsewhere, they were considered as factory ambulances. |

I have no words for this... This is the greatest find of all time, very cool carchases! I think however that it was built by Citroën, most documentation is official Citroën documentation. See http://www.citroen-gs.nl/types/types_gsgsaambulance.html -- Last edit: 2008-11-05 21:41:08 |

Yes, that´s what I mean: They were treated and sold like factory built ambulances, but in fact a specialized (and unmentioned) coachbuilder had his hands on it. That´s the way most so-called "factory ambulances" are/ were built. There are exceptions to this "rule", of course, but I seriously doubt the GS/ GSA ambulances are one of them. This is similar to the official Volvo 200 ambulances, which were actually built by Nilsson, but Nilsson remained uncredited throughout the Volvo advertising and promotional material. |

^ What he said! The unmentioned coachbuilder is Carrocerías Pinedo-Villamil (Francisco Villamil S.A.) of Mejorada del Campo (Madrid) and finally gets mentioned now. |
