1930-31 Cadillac V16. Clue the various models of these town cars are: vee or flat screen, curved or straight sill line and whether the rear quarter has a window or is closed in. This one has a vee screen, closed rear quarter and appears to have a straight sill line. This should make it a Fleetwood Transformable Town Cabriolet Style 4325. One of 35 built. New price was $7150! I wonder how many other movies this car was used in.

It's hard to determine from this angle if this is the long- or the short-bodied town car in the "4300" series of Cadillac V-16 models. There were two distinct bodies: (1) the shorter "4312", which had seating for five with two occasional folding seats (one facing to the rear, the other to the side); (2)the longer "4325", which also had seating for five but whose longer body allowed for two, wull width, forward-facing, folding auxiliary seats. The "4312" is the rarer of the two, with only two dozen units built. The more common car is the "4325" (35 units as mentioned by "nzcarnerd"). Let's assume, as does "nzcarnerd" that this is the more common car. I would imagine that this actual car belonged to one of the movie moguls of the time. De Mille had one as did Zanuck, later.

Why '452' when Nzc identifies the car as Style 4325, more or less endorsed by MrCadillac?
