I've just deleted the episode!... Otherwise I'd check again.

I'm not sure it's visible though, sometimes the plates of the "celebrity" cars are pixellated. That certainly was the case with Stephen Fry's cab. (he drives an authentic London cab)

Most of the time they're not.

Cars which are owned by the person who is driving usually have their plates pixelated. If the plate is legible it is normally because the car has been lent by the Press Office of the manufacturer in order to get free publicity. I would guess the Jaguar XJ driven by Stephen Fry was not his own car.
