Seems to be a KC40 Diesel, in which case you could chase it on a pushbike |

The bright panel on the grille makes me think this is badged as the later 'Dodge' model, as here... http://mr-bg.fotopic.net/p31006827.html ... the Commer lettering was originally on the bonnet unless it later also moved to the grille area. Has anybody any experience or comments? The 'C' registration licence plate looks to me to be a fake number, all the probable numbers looks to be Fords. -- Last edit: 2008-09-02 19:39:24 |

Digging around for Commer Walk-Thrus with the grill badge I found these 4 pages of Walk-Thru pics. Most Commers have bonnet lettering and all Dodges have grill lettering. But a few Commers have grill lettering - example 1 (R plate), example 2 (P plate), example 3 (another P plate), and example 4 (yet another P plate). All M & N plates (and everything earlier) look like bonnet lettering, along with this apparently solitary P plate. So - (drumroll) - the change occurred during P era - Aug 75 to July 76 and probably early - let's say Sept 75 as a guesstimate. Glass's only mentions name change to Dodge, which was Aug 76 before Walk-Thrus discontinued Feb 79. So Commer grille badges only used for a year, and mainly P plate; R-platers were unicorns. But - (another drumroll please) - I might have found this Heartbeat blue one here with a part-blanked plate REC ???R. -- Last edit: 2023-09-18 22:38:05 |
