Altough the front grille it's not very clear, it seems to have the old type of hubcaps ( not the wheel centres that allow to see the wheel nuts ). So I would say it's a 1971 US-spec 1750 GT Veloce 2nd series. |

I'm 100% positive this is a 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV (1st series). The '71 had large overriders on the bumpers. The '69 (1st series) is the only model with early (non overriders) bumpers and quad headlights. It also had the turn signals inset into the front bumper as it appears this one does. As far as 1st vs 2nd series, the 2nd series would have the later bumpers. I currently own a '69 GTV. Here's a '69: http://www.seriouswheels.com/1960-1969/1969-Alfa-Romeo-GTV-1750-r-fa.htm Notice how the turn signals are inset into the bumper. Here's a '71: http://www.goyetterestoration.com/project_info.php?PID=4 Notice the bumper overriders and how the larger turn signals hang below the bumper. -- Last edit: 2009-01-05 18:41:54 |
