Or Ford Fiesta MK 2 rather? |

Opel Kadett [D] if this scene was filmed in South Africa, or maybe Vauxhall Astra Mark 1 if filmed in the UK. |

Edit: now i've seen it clearly, RHD, so Vauxhall -- Last edit: 2008-05-11 01:32:23 |

It's RHD - look at the windscreen wipers - and South Africa drives on the left anyway. |

Were the right hand drive ones in South Africa badged as Vauxhalls? I wouldn't be so sure of that, as they were also sold in RHD in the UK as Opel Kaddetts until around 1983. |

RHD does not imply Vauxhall: in Ireland and Japan they have RHD Opels. |

They also had right hand drive Opels in the UK until around 1983. The Senator was originally only Opel badged and the Kaddett was introduced in 1979 in the UK as an Opel, around a year before it was released as a Vauxhall in 1980. This scene was filmed in South Africa so I'm sure this would be an Opel rather than a Vauxhall. |

was badged an opel Kadett here, this one was christened the Chavvy Nova, and was a homage to how badly people can modify their cars, and we added the biggest speakers we could find. sadly after we did the worst job we could manage with some 2x4s and bits of old shutterply I saw a worse one in the UK which was actually someone's pride and joy.. |
