This is actually Dirty Harry's unmarked squad car, and personal private car. The color is actually Sark Sapphire Blue or often called Midnight Blue, and Navy Blue. Detective Harry Callahan is actually stopping for lunch.

Details at /vehicle_336397-Pontiac-Bonneville-1965.html shows it is Custom 500. Besides were there Custom trim level with this mid-line trim :??:

It's one or the other, not both.

I'm almost certain it's a department car which Harry also uses as his personal car.

What's the difference between Custom and a Galaxie? I don't know nearly as much about Fords (I'm a Chevy guy myself).

Does this car still exist? They trashed so many 1968 Ford Custom sedans back in the days,
among other plain sedans especially The Streets of San Francisco and The Thing with Two Heads that they're nearly extint. Yellow cab wiped them out as well. I love the styling of these cars but nobody had pitty for them.
