It could be also the Series 75 sedan (without a division partition and glass between the driver and passenger seating areas). Only a view of the interior will answer that question. |

I don't think Cadillac used the name "Imperial" as that was a trademark of the Chrysler Corporation. Cadillacs were "Fleetwoods". |

Maybe "Imperial" is the name of the limousine conversion company? |

This model is a 1957 Fleetwood 60 Special. Not Series 75. The 60 Special was only '57 Cadillac to have rectangular backup lamps which are mounted in the lower decklid and a pair of (red) brake/parking/turn signal lamps on each taillamp pod for a total of four red brake lamps. These characteristics are a dead giveaway for 60 Special. On all other models, the backup lamps are located on the (clear) inner lenses in each of the taillamp lamp pods (for only two brake lamps) and of course without the rectangular lenses in decklid. In other scenes, such as the parking lot of the Elster residence, a Cadillac Series 75 is shown which was also black. Naturally this often causes confusion but the fact is these were two different cars. -- Last edit: 2017-09-20 22:00:00 |
