It's a 1955, not 1954. Another picture shows it's a Holiday Sedan. -- Last edit: 2008-04-07 09:47:32 |

With the side trim 'coming back' upto the front door, I'd say it's a 98. |

That's what I would have said at first but I checked in my Olds litterature and this is only true with the Holiday Coupe. For the Holiday Sedan, introduced later in the model year, the side trim starts at the front door in all three series. (And at the same time it starts at the rear door on the 98 4 door sedan, as on the 88 and Super 88 models). All the other differences are on parts not visible enough in the two pics, so we'll never know for sure. |

They didn't make it easy for us... Back to unknown, then... |

I have already pleaded for that: we know the year, we know the body style, but cannot be sure of the model: so what? Let's take it off the "unknowns". Even here, where the model means a longer wheelbase and not just trim level. There are lots of examples on the site where it could be done, and it is at times. By the way: the rather long deck, seen in /vehicle_166760-Pontiac-Star-Chief-1957.html might yet confirm a 98. |

If it might be a 98 it is maybe better to list it as 98 rather than just no model name |
