I thought this was the frontend on the 1973. The blue one /vehicle_135860-Ford-Torino-1973.html I think this is a 1974, and we got corrections to make in the listings.... Or was there more than one grill/model available? -- Last edit: 2008-03-30 23:53:20 |

The "base" Torino had this front end design in 1973. The Grand Torino had a center grille with the headlights surrounded by body-colored trim. As in the picture you provided. -- Last edit: 2008-03-31 02:27:04 |

1973 Ford Torino base 4-door. The 1973 and 1974 base cars had the same grille but different back ends. |

This "base" '73 Torino 4-door was also used in the movie "Hooper"(blue with a red stripe on the hood, roof and trunk). Burt Reynolds drove it while the squirt assistant director, (I think his role was Tony) tried to get Hooper's price down for the big jump. That Torino was a bad-ass car that the stunt mechanic said he put a 428 police interceptor motor in it. Whether he did or not doesn't matter, it did well in the scenes. Too bad it was rolled at the scenes end. /vehicle_107718-Ford-Torino-1973.html -- Last edit: 2012-10-25 22:00:05 |
