Seeing JCB’S note, I looked up “Cockleshell Heroes”, remembering the old Spike Milligan jokes with David Lodge. He was in it, but his part was “Fish Lorry Driver”. They spent two days fighting and the survivors five years in Poland as a POW's (where Kydd organised the concert party surprisingly!) They were called the weekenders ! From pictures, Dennis adverts and period photographs, I cannot separate the later Dennis Pax IV (sidelights moved over the headlights) or an early (1966-68?) Pax V. More Pax V changes appeared after 'G' reg. I believe. edit: the Pax V was introduced early 1963 therefore unless there was some overlap, the Pax V was 1960-63 and likely had the lower mounted side-lights.
