I am not sure at 100% for the Micra, but it is probable. And I do not think that it is a Ford Festiva -- Last edit: 2005-12-31 12:27:40 |

I'm certain it is a Nissan Micra, but it is highly unusual as they weren't sold in the USA. |

Some episodes were in other countries if I remember well ? |

This looks to be in the USA judging from the backdrop and the fact that the Micra is shown next to a Chevrolet Caprice police car in one of your other pictures. I'm wondering if the Micra was sold in Canada or perhaps Mexico. This could be yet another mystery for Mulder and Scully! -- Last edit: 2005-12-31 14:20:24 |

This first-generation Micra was sold in Canada. And The X-Files was shot frequently in Canada. I think that enough a car may sometimes be moved and used. |

Was also sold as Nissan March. |

Yes, many if not most of the episodes were filmed in and around Vancouver, BC and the Nissan "Micra" was sold there but never in the US market. |

The Micra K10 was introduced into the Canadian market in 1984 (a year after it was introduced into Europe) and was discontinued in Canada in 1991. It however had some differences to the European and Japanese marketed models, such as longer bumpers, no rear fog lights, a third brake light, sealed beam headlights, and the amber/red sidelights. -- Last edit: 2007-08-04 20:17:37 |

The first 5 seasons were filmed in Vancouver until David Duchovny got whiny and got the show moved to California |
