Nice Dodge ... is it a Fargo? |

N-no ... it says Dodge on the front and on the side of the hood. It seems to be a civilian 1½-ton; I'd have expected an ex-military D15 in France. |

Hood mascot is 1946 or 1947 .It is a 1946 or 1947 Dodge one and a half ton model WF 32 on the 160in wheelbase chassis |

Not a 46-47. It's a wartime blackout model. 1942-45. Drooping front axle probably makes this a 2-ton. |

No chrome on the grille cross indicates indeed more likely a wartime model: a "souvenir" left by US troops after WWII. As 1941+ model, if a 160"/4.06 m wheelbase: • 1-ton "Special" WF-22 (1½-ton truck with downgraded specs, i.e. 1-ton rating); • 1½-ton WA-32; • 1½-ton "Special" WG-42 (2-ton truck with downgraded specs); • 2-ton WH-47. ⇒ W-Series. -- Last edit: 2015-12-06 07:09:17 |
