Maybe I'm crazy, but I think this might be an Opel. |

I think so too, it looks like a 1974+ Ascona A Caravan. |

They were called "Opel 1900" in the US. |

@fortengo: the estate-version of the Ascona A was named "Voyage" in Europe, not "Caravan" like all other Opel's. |

WOW!! I had two of these in the past...same color and condition! A '71 while a senior in high school...added "Ralley" wheels and sold it for a profit after graduation. Second one was a '75 with Bosch fuel injection...got it after I was married and kept it almost two years...... |

Since 1973, in the brochures renamed - Wagon, then since 1974 - Sportwagon or sometimes even as Manta Sportwagon (however it doesn't seem right, as it wasn't Manta-based anyway), without 1900, HOWEVER it seems these post-73 models still retained 1900 badges for some reason. 1972 : https://www.ebay.com/itm/363683380290 1973 : https://www.veikl.com/d/Opel-Full-Line-USA-Brochure-1973-EN-47250/14 1974 : Link to "www.autoweek.com" -- Last edit: 2022-09-24 20:23:29 |

Standard Catalog says: - 1971-72 - 5 models badged as 1900: 2dr saloon, 4 dr saloon, 2 dr Station wagon, 2dr sport coupe, 2dr Rallye coupe [the last 2 being Mantas without the name] - 1973 - 3 models badged as 1900: 2dr saloon, 4 dr saloon, 2 dr deluxe Station wagon; previous 1900 coupes now named Manta in US, Luxus trim added to give 3 versions - 1974-75 - the only 1900 at start of 74 was the estate, named Sportwagon, although the 2dr saloon was re-introduced later; all 3 Mantas continued; all 1900s and Mantas got fuel injection for 75 - 1976-79 - no more German imports - instead US got Opel-badged Isuzus until end of Opel presence in 79. |
