1994 was the first model year for our Escudos here. 1992 was for the Vitara. As I've said in an old previous comment, the Vitara nameplate was also used here for this generation, only on the 4x4/4WD models. However... 1994-1996 Escudo or 1992-1995 Vitara, within that grille design. Can be also a 1995-1996 Sidekick with factory-optional/aftermarket body-colored bumpers. Honesty, this one should be either better to list as a 1994 Escudo by default, given the ride height (although the three models share the same stock ride height back when they were brand new). Alternatively, we could leave it to '1992 Suzuki unknown' to prevent heated debates, whatever if the plate info and frame number data says. Also, why [TA01W]? It's [TD] since it's a 5-door, as proven to our other entries in the site. Our Indonesian models were mostly sold as 5-door SUVs. [TA] is for the 3-door. 3-door models did exist here but heard they were extremely rare than the 5-door and believed to be parallel imports. |
