1986 only by grille and lack of CHMSL ( not sure how/why but some, probably very early 1986 ones, including the red one i saw in car shows are 1986 but did not received a CHMSL ) |

You are correct. These were NEVER distributed in the US. Which makes that Illinois plate a bit embarassing |

When these were made, they did not meet USDOT regulations and by the time they were old enough to import under the 25 year law, most were already junked. Not to mention, there was little to no hobby interest in bringing one here. |
