The 1995 Taurus is worth listing. The 3rd generation Ford Taurus was sold here in Australia in 1996. However, the car was a flop in Australia because it was too expensive and it had almost the same price as the much better equipped and rear-wheel drive Ford Fairmont (similar to the Austin Kimberley situation back in the 70s where the car was modern for its time but failed due to its transversly mounted E-Series engine and front wheel drive configuration that drove everyone away in boats). The version seen here is a 1998 model due to its headlamps and grille. Only the sedan model was sold here and the car is only available in a Ghia trim. Sorry for the long talk. You are not right, this is Kia Shuma 1st gen pre-facelift, made around 1997-2000. Check it out. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kia_Shuma So it is not unknown anymore. |

Kia Mentor in Australia from 1998-2000. Then renamed Shuma from 2000-2001, then renamed Spectra in 2001. |
