I read this info on a forum about the Kaiser: "With the installation of Industrias Kaiser Argentina, 1,061 finished Kaiser Manhattan arrived in the country on the steamer Overo (it had to be carried out by law, with an Argentine ship) on July 25, 1955, from Toledo; Similar models, except for improvements, to which IKA would later produce locally as Kaiser Carabela. Could this be 55' model? -- Last edit: 2021-10-23 20:09:10 |

Not sure if there were any differences between 1954 and the last 1955 models, but it is likely that this could be a 1955 model if that many (perhaps one of last batch of Kaisers in general?) were shipped to Argentina to have a second life. Edit : there was, apparently, a slightly different (larger?) hood ornament, but now I'm not sure how to tell which one is it by looking at the main subject picture. 1954 : Link to "www.hemmings.com" https://www.collectiblemotorcarofatlanta.com/vehicles/2/1954-kaiser-manhattan-supercharged 1955 : https://www.velocityjournal.com/journal/1955/kaiser/4858/pictures.html https://autograf.cars/auctions/1955/Kaiser/Manhattan -- Last edit: 2021-10-23 20:33:26 |

Yes, the hood ornament differences between '54 and '55 are quite subtle. This one looks like the 1954 style to me. |

The difference can be seen in this illustration. Note the higher "fin" on the 1955 along with four small added windsplits. (Click to enlarge.) -- Last edit: 2021-10-25 01:43:56 |

Excellent image to compare Commander57, I seem to see a sharp point in the image as in the 55 model, but perhaps it is a suggestion since the reflection and the shadow do not allow to see it clearly |

Yep. Difficult to tell for certain. |
