If you look closely, you'll see that there's trim on the rear bumper. This trim is supposed to be either chrome or black (more likely than not black since chrome doesn't tend to get painted over). This indicates that this car has been re-painted, possibly by a movie studio to make it look like a taxi since this was more likely than not an ex-patrol vehicle. Sorry carchasesfanatic, I left right after I posted that comment, I'm not online 24/7 you know I'd be happy to explain it. Well, it's pretty much what ford guy said, the bumper trim has been painted over, which means it's been re-painted to look like a taxi. Plus, this being a 1999 model, it would have grey colored bumpers (as all Crown Vic NYC taxis had from 1995-2000). |
