MkVI, on the basis of earliest first, but R-type also in the frame until I have counted the radiator shutters. Even then, it could be indeterminate, as there is one radiator shutter type that was used on both models. Fortunately it seems to have 9 shutters per side and a central bar, if I have counted this correctly. This indicates an August 1953 or later R-type after chassis number B210TN. The central driving lamp is not as original and I am still unable to comment upon the coachwork, except to say that the windscreen does not look like a Standard Steel Saloon. |
