It seems to be the short 114"/2.90 m wheelbase of a ½-ton 3100 pickup indeed, with a 1955 only fender emblem (i.e. below the fender line). But there was no "Short box" nor "Long box" precision for the 3100 models, as the "Long box" model was the 3200 truck. And Stepside was used only from 1958 onward, so it so it should not appear here.
