Isn't this the same 1932 Ford from the original American Graffiti? /vehicle_1042-Ford-1932.html |

The Model A was discontinued in 1931. According to Wikipedia, the 1932 was called the Model B if it was a 4 cylinder car, or the Model 18 if it had the V8. This car is the 5 Window Coupe bodystyle commonly nicknamed the Deuce Coupe. Interestingly this car appears to be missing the California front license plate THX 138 that it had in the first movie. |

It is NOT the same car. The original was sold at a studio auction in 1976 . This car is a good replica. The license Plate is missing because George Lucas was not as involved in this one as the first movie. Someone did not pay attention to detail, there were some Date mistakes in the story line also. |

I'd be interested to hear more about this car being sold at a studio auction in 1976, I have it on good authority that the Deuce was stored at the studios until this sequel was made, it barely ran which is why is wasn't used much in this film. Most of the other Graffiti cars were sold off other than this and the chopped top Mercury. I've certainly never heard anything about a replica of the Deuce being built by the studio, there's only ever been one used in the films. |
