Unusual in UK, imported from Oct 59 "in limited numbers", no info whether it was offered with RHD, but seems we had a few more than the 2000 Sprint Coupe which only one was imported. Plate looks ABC 123A format so 63+ and newer than car. 2600 replaced 2000 here from March 62 - all versions LHD until 1964 factory RHD offered. |

I'm not sure. Maybe something was different for the UK market, but for me, the bonnet scoops look more 2000 (twin narrow separate ones) than 2600 (wide single one). Also, other small details you can spot if you look at the 2 models and compare it with the subject car (hint: grille, lights, bumper etc): ![]() ![]() At least, that's what I did. -- Last edit: 2020-12-21 23:02:53 |

Agree looks more 2000 than 2600 - it was the less prominent lower lights which convinced me. I just added the 2600 info in passing to explain why the plate is probably out of step. |
