Yeah, like the Impreza, but cuter. I really don't know why would GM allow Isuzu to die and Fuji Heavy to wander off... They could've maintainted a foothold in Japan and further strenghten their small car lineup! |

1990-1993. The only 2 consumer Isuzus in the US is the Ascender (rebadged GMC Envoy) and i-series (rebadged Chevy Colorado). I heard 2009 is the final model year in the US. |

Yes, I believe GM has a contract to build the vehicles until Jan. 09. The Envoy/Trailblazer,etc. is due for death in '09 or '10. The Colorado/Canyon might last a few years past that. So the Isuzu models were on a deathwatch anyway. I work at one of the few Isuzu dealers left in California. There might be half a dozen left in Northern Calif. |

I work at a Chrysler/Jeep/Mazda/Isuzu dealership. It used to sell Plymouth and Eagles too MBSL65fan. There is a Dodge dealership 5 minutes away. The new Chrysler wants to have dealerships that sell the full line of vehicles on one lot. Such as Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. So my dealership or the one 5 minutes away could have it's Chrysler Corp license taken away. My dealerships has more acres than the one 5 minutes away, so hopefully the dealership I work at will be lucky. GM has a similar policy of wanting Buick/Pontiac/GMC on the same lot. |
