I had been thinking of Chenard & Walcker as well, but it couldn't convince me yet. The shape of the fenders and the way the spare wheel is mounted don't fit  |

From the other pictures it looks like the show is shot in the UK. The car featured in C&SC is locted in the UK and there is a picture in pg 135 shot at the same profile and everything is identical. Note the emblem on top of the third brake light, the emblem on the rear wheel spat and the design at the side of the bonnet. -- Last edit: 2007-11-06 06:05:55 |

I agree with Samyuk .It is a 1937 Chenard & Walcker Aigle Huit six window limousine on the long 327,50 cm wheelbase .The Aigle Huit had standard rear fender skirts.This car was still powered by Chenard & Walcker's own V8 engine of 3580 cm3 developing 85 cv.This engine was replaced by the Matford V8 of 3621 cm3 at the 1937 Paris show on the 1938 model year cars.The third braking light is unusual .In France the space within the spare wheel cover was used for the license number. |
