IMHO it's a 1984 Chevrolet Celebrity station wagon. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:84-85_Chevrolet_Celebrity_wagon.jpg |

Please change the name to the Chevrolet Celebrity without wagon. There are 534 results of the Celebrity. /vehicles_make-Chevrolet_model-Celebrity.html There are 2 results of the Celebrity Wagon. /vehicles_make-Chevrolet_model-Celebrity+Wagon.html |

will do for consistency ( and will be easier to find back ) but if the Cavalier gets Wagon in the name, there is a good chance the Celebrity would be a good candidate for that too |

Well...according to this 1985 brochure , both model don't have "wagon" in the name. Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.org" (Notice the NAME are wrote in all capital letters.) (And for Celebrity , the trim come before body style.) Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.org" |

Capital name is Chevrolet's choice for that page, in the text of their respective pages only the first letter is In this specific case here, " 1993 Sturdy Sensible " is not an official Chevrolet trim level.. About that page you link ... beurk.. that wood on the top one, thankfully they did not added it to the Eurosport ! ( my consistency comment was about the fact that Wagon was part of the model name instead of extra info .. but yeah, a big part of them do not have it in extra info either.. ) -- Last edit: 2021-05-01 12:06:33 |

why the guys at Jalopnik said the year that would fit the best is 1988, then shows a pic of a 1990 ? composte headlight came in for 1987 -- Last edit: 2021-05-05 17:59:22 |

Because the idiots at Jalopnik have no clue what they are talking about. Their lack of knowledge of things automotive is truly mind-numbing. I think they have one editor who knows things (the one who does professional car brokering) and the rest are off in la-la-land. |

well, after that laugh, for how i wrote " composit " .. |

Owner described as "old Iron Eagle", car badging as Sturdy Sensible, the robot identified as burnt-orange 1993 station wagon. |

Is it just me, or is that Slimer on the antenna? |
◊ 2021-05-07 19:09 |
I love how they put one of those awful stick figure family stickers on the rear glass! Great attention to detail. |
◊ 2021-05-07 19:23 |
if you don't like awful family stickers there is some relief as for the antenna, not sure if its Slimer, looks like a small green alien blob in some of the thumbnails -- Last edit: 2021-05-07 19:25:47 |

I'd say this car gets five stars because by the end of the film, the car feels like it's part of the family and there's hardly a scene without it, much like the Family Truckster in National Lampoon's Vacation. It's also a hilariously decrepit beater that has a surprising amount of horsepower, able to pull off two jumps with notable airtime due to having an "up the mountain, across the river, down the stream" manual transmission and clutch. Also has the distinction of being listed as both an Alleged Car and a Cool Car on the movie's TV Tropes page. Also also gets a custom "pug strapped into a booster seat" hood ornament during the climax (not a spoiler) And Baube, the green rubber figure on the antenna is not Slimer, but a green dinosaur finger puppet. -- Last edit: 2021-05-10 16:43:37 |

Agreed on five stars. If you look closely, it seems like the entire family has imparted themselves onto the car. The green dinosaur might have been left there by the younger kid. |
