Door curve is wrong for a Minor (or Oxford [MO]). Morris Six?? (its Wolseley 6/80 twin had a sloping grille which probably wouldn't fit here). |

No, it's definitely an Oxford MO. Look at the distance between the back of the front wheel arch and the door aperture, Wolseley 4/50 is longer and the 6/80 is even longer still, plus the bonnet is the wrong shape for either Wolseley or a Morris Six. -- Last edit: 2020-01-21 15:29:12 |

Agree too short for Six or 6/80. If the door curve was rounded, I'd be happy with Oxford MO which was my first thought. But it's not right, more like a 4/50 ...?? |

I can’t agree with 4/50 either. There is no chrome strip covering the styling line between the door handles and along the bonnet. If you drop a perpendicular line from the front of the Wolseley door handle, the Wolseley door pressing ends behind it. Do the same on the Oxford, and the pressing ends in front of it. See above, this shape finishes in front of the door handle. Link to "www.google.co.uk" Link to "www.google.co.uk" -- Last edit: 2020-01-21 18:36:42 |

Fair enough. Maybe just go for Oxford with a strange screen effect in the blur?? |

Please do. |

You do wonder, seeing this sort of thing, why they bothered with such small differences. If they had started with a base model, Oxford, then added the cammy engine and a bit of chrome, plus, of course, the illuminated radiator badge to make the 4/50; then the extra wheelbase and six pot motor for the 6/80, wouldn’t that have been enough? They couldn’t leave it be though, could they? Three wheelbases, different doors, the unloved Morris Six (sorry Uncle Sam!), what a fiasco! -- Last edit: 2020-01-21 21:25:17 |
