I just watched this episode and freeze framed the DVD several times to get a close-up look at this RHD Cadillac, it is definitely not a 79 and it is also not a factory limousine, it is possibly a stretched Fleetwood Brougham. The grille is a 1978 model but it doesn't have the correct header panel moulding, the 77 has the script "Cadillac" in the chrome, the 1978 had the script above it on the header panel itself, so this could be a 1977 with a newer grille to make it appear a year newer or a 78 with a replaced incorrect moulding after collision repair, also the hood ornament is a plain hollow DeVille type not the full color type used on Fleetwood Broughams with the wreath, also it is dark in the scene but it looks like there is a third door handle so i think this is a 6-door stretch. So in conclusion the limo service that rented them the car may have taken a 77 DeVille stretch and tried to update it to look newer and to look like the more expensive Fleetwood Brougham. Also the first season was filmed in Queensland, and the second season in Melbourne, so the first season featured that 1983 Cadillac Armbruster stretch in many episodes but disaapeared in the 2nd season. -- Last edit: 2021-06-29 00:50:32 |
