The footage appears to be from London, the Superfast displayed was sold to Peter Sellers. Some of the 275 GTS cars have wipers parking to driver side, some people thought it was safer to have them arranged that way. -- Last edit: 2022-12-18 13:10:51 |

If it's Seller's car it's 6679SF, metallic tan, registered PS 1872 and GYK 5C. |

Change of heart: the documentary is all about Frankfurt, so it just can't be London, but still I can't unsee those wipers, the large instrument cluster and the steering wheel in that picture - it is a RHD car. Must be that everyone just presumes 6615SF destined to Auto-Becker Gmbh was displayed in Frankfurt, but for a reason or another that car was not in shipping yet, so they showed 6679SF instead on it's way to London. Timing is a match: Frankfurt would be arranged 16-26/9/65, factory list says 6679/SF was consigned to Maranello Consessionaires Ltd in London on 30/9/65 and finally displayed in London Motor Show 20-30/10/65. It was the only RHD-Superfast delivered around that time and the hazel brown (nocciola) car appears to have silvery finish on black and white photos taken in London show, so yes - I think that really is 6679/SF then sold to Peter Sellers. And on top of all this 6615/SF (LHD of Auto-Becker Gmbh) appears to have been finally delivered in 11/65. |
