According to the trailer this is the main character's car so I is probably going to be a 4 star vehicle -- Last edit: 2019-06-23 23:36:36 |

used a lot might means more thumbnails.. if everything is original it would be a 1991 by the wheels but with Mustang we have to be careful.. -- Last edit: 2019-06-23 23:52:18 |

Interior shots in the show promos show the 1990-1993 air bag steering wheel. |

Character-to-character dialogue within the show states this as a 1992 model year. |

i never trust on-screen dialogue but at least its in the year range |

In Home Improvement Tim tells Al nice 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park but we have it listed as a 1983 as there aren't any differences between them. Also, the vehicle has never resurfaced for sale to validate the VIN. We cannot trust what the actors say unfortunately. |

sometimes they are just off by a ( bunch of ) mile.. same goes for the year in the windshield in car dealerships i don't mind when in the year range but they're not always accurate.. -- Last edit: 2019-09-26 05:12:21 |

The writers can write one thing, but that doesn't mean that the coordinator is able to find that exact make and model. Guess it depends upon the director to correct, some I suppose don't care that things don't match exactly. |

But apparently, machines aren't any better at identifying |

skid said he saw the airbag's steering wheel, should be at least 1990, 1991 if the pony wheels really left Dearborn with this car.. Terminator takes quite a beating, maybe the Plymouth file got moved in the Ford one... or the opposite.. -- Last edit: 2019-09-26 07:28:24 |

The wheels don't show up until the 1991 brochure: Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" 1990: Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" |

Described as a 1992 in dialogue. |

4 stars. Current pic is from Ep 1.01. Main character Dex Parios's (Cobie Smulders) car. Driven a lot. |

We don't list 'by the dialogue' as there are plenty of examples where movie characters are wrong. |
◊ 2019-10-03 08:05 |
In this case, the year state in dialogue could very well be correct because both the 1st and 2nd episodes showed the interior with the 1990-93 headrests and steering wheel. Confirming what was said in earlier comments... |

if they got the Pontiac right, maybe they got someone who know a little bit about cars among them.. ( for once.. ) |

The scene from episode 2 where Dex buys her Mustang. It is described by Grey as being 'Vomit' in color and Dex pays $600 for it. The car salesman says it has 'character'. |

$600 for a straight, drivable 5.0? What planet does this show take place on? |
◊ 2019-10-06 22:32 |
don't know.. but i'd love to be on it... |
◊ 2019-10-06 22:50 |
That's exactly what I thought when I watched this scene. $600, maybe for a rusty 4-cylinder notchback? The engine alone would bring in more than that. -- Last edit: 2019-10-06 22:51:25 |

Indeed, it deserves more pictures, there are probably many nice ones to make, other than those where it is visible on other car's pics, e.g.: -- Last edit: 2023-04-02 14:57:56 |
