Both pictures from Amsterdam: Location Ep.1.25: Magere Brug (Tiny Bridge) on Amstel river, in the left background the 17th century Oudevrouwenhuis (House for old women), until a few years ago still in use for elderly people and at this moment in reconstruction: new dependance of the Hermitage museum. Location Ep.1.40: Oude Schans with early 16th century defense tower the Montelbaanstoren. Co-owner of our Panhard e.a. lives just around the corner. |

Eeh, your're not really correct, sixcyl. There was no 1966 VW 1600 Variant. Before 1969 it was a 1500. The car on the big pic is quite blurry, but that one on the thumbnail is no 1966+ Variant, it's a 1970+ version, the "longnose" with the bigger back lamps in the back and the rail-track-bumpers. |

Indeed, Ingo. But the red one is older, it has the separate reflector (in a chrome housing). |

These were available as 1600 Variant 1966-69, there was also a more basic 1500 Variant available. I havn´t checked all the brouchures here yet: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/type3.php It might have been a 1500 Variant with this trim during these years too, the sedans were available with both engines as choice and both trimlevels. Rather confusing. Anyway, this moght also be a 1964+ VW Variant S. If it´s a 1966+ it was called VW Variant 1600 in Netherlands. Some markets put 1600 before Variant, some after. And it also varies over the years. Here´s a sample from the 1966 brouchure from NL: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/66dutch/back.jpg |

Nice brochure... So this should be listed as 'Made for NL'? |
