This is a bus specially made for the East-Berlin buslines (BVG-Ost) by VEB Waggonbau Bautzen. It is the type Do54 of 1953-56. |

Should "VEB" be part of the make name? Usually the comany status is not included, e.g. Renaults are not listed as "Renault s.a.s.", Porsches are not listed as "Porsche AG", etc. |

Waggonbau Bautzen Do54 yes, i think this is better without. All the Companys in the GDR was "VEB" Companys |

Incidentally, the building to the left is the Neue Wache in Unter den Linden. The street in the reverse angle, on a studio backlot, is nowhere near wide enough to pass as Unter den Linden, which is a grand avenue with a pedestrian strip running down the middle. |

Actually was it built 1955-56. (5 in '55, 79/80 in '56) |
