Having driven an Austin A30 in its original state many years ago, the re-engine ploy is a very good idea. The original 803cc engine managed to be both gutless and fragile, as later modified it became a much better power unit. Presumably the gearbox was also changed, and I hope the brakes were looked at as well.

I take that these amber indicators under the bumper were not original :think:

They were not. The A35 had factory fitted indicators which were above the stop/tail lamps. A30s had semaphore indicators, nobody looks for those these days, so the subject car’s owner has fitted these extra lamps.
