Truck, 15CWT, Bedford MW 4x2 Wireless Body...originally a type of body employed by the RAF during WW2 for mobile signals purposes, but the one in picture has been refitted after WW2 as an ambulance, the guy in black standing by the door is a member of the RAF..the two guys with the stretcher are dressed for mountain rescue purposes....at the time of filming, it was probably still in the hands of the RAF but in use as a mountain rescue ambulance...as it looks to be a Lake District location, this vehicle was probably still in service by one of the local RAF mountain rescue teams when the film was made, as it still has its RAF license plate. -- Last edit: 2007-07-15 11:56:23 |
