Could be. Format is correct, and XA - XK were allocated to vehicles in overseas theatres, mainly BAOR purchased locally and ex WW2 vehicles renumbered. (L H Newall, A History of Motor Vehicle Registration in the United Kingdom.) |

Possibly a WWII jeep based on the rear panel (no tail gate) with a tail gate added? There is very little that looks Willys beyond that. Body, large one piece windshield w/ square corners, seat backs, steering wheel near the center, no tail lights, etc... do not look Willys. Other views would be helpful. |

No, that is new for me. I just know, that the US Milirary in West Berlin has used German Ford-models. You can see that on the historic photos of the Checkpoint Charlie, which had been in the US Sector. |
