In the shots with both CJs visible from the side, notice that the one with a top ("radio Jeep") has a flattened D shape to its rear wheel wells, while the "catching car's" are fully circular. The flattened D shape was never produced in the USA, marking the "radio Jeep" as one of the African-built CJ clones. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Not so much imitation, really. They were built under licence from Jeep by VW of South Africa, using components from Toledo. (The Jeep parts book actually listed RHD components at one time.) Australian-assembled Overlanders sometimes had flat-topped arches also.

I have recently seen a copy of "Jeep News" A publication Willys did for its dealets.
The Kaiser Jeep company provided art the vehicles used. There are photos of them on a dock waiting to be loadrd, so I don't think this CJ-6 was a license unit.
Also, its year would have been 1962, not 1955
