You're right. Besides, that one was a 1989 Camaro. This isn't. |

Can anyone find an image of the Camaro that they custom designed as the Batmobile? |

The year is wrong: judging the front bumper, interior and badges, this is a 1987-1989 Camaro RS (with 1982-1984 taillights by the way). |

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x73f75s 33:50 1987-1990 CHMSL location tail lights on the lower trims were the same as the 1982-1984 until 1991 Link to "topclassiccarsforsale.com" Link to "www.barrett-jackson.com" nice, thanks for making me look like a fool again, 1991 brochure ... on the video at 33:36 .. Camaro badge or RS one ? asking because according to brochures, RS starts in 1989 i think its a Camaro one , which would make it 1988 only but still not totally sure of the badge out of curiosity, did the Z28 tail lights came later than when the brochure was printed or there was a way to get them thru the option list ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhXePwvUAkA .. and its not tthe first one i see -- Last edit: 2021-09-22 19:36:03 |

Thank you! That makes sense, here in Spain those are not very common :P RS model started sales in California in 1987 and later on for the rest of US in 1988. So it would make sense saying 1987 since Mythbusters was filmed in SF... It does have RS badges on the sideskirts! |

but there is no traces of RS in brochure before 1989 .. |

This is what I found about RS: www.thirdgen.org/forums/history-originality/750241-1987-1988-rs.html |

very interesting , thanks however they said they came only in black, white or red with matching color wheels now, is this one repainted ? with the Mythbusters it still an option 1989 RS could be good.. plus, they did offered that color this episode was aired before the Camaro got turned into a Batmobile so it might be its original color -- Last edit: 2021-09-23 19:13:27 |

Actually, this particular car was originally red! They show the interior without upholstery in the batmobile episode and indeed it was repainted! ibb.co/T2sntfD -- Last edit: 2021-09-23 22:27:38 |

oh my... i missed that part... i was probably looking for my Batman suit when they showed that ! .. they did a nice job repainting it compare to some others ... but what about the wheels.. swapped or its really a 1989 after all ? -- Last edit: 2021-09-23 22:47:03 |
