First style rear lights and C-pillar, before Sept 72. But side trim, hubcaps and maybe rear badging similar to S - was there an early S before the facelift?? |

Yes, S appeared for '72 in late 1971 or very early in 1972. I clearly remember a dark green metallic with "S" rear script and German plate (Ingo could know what "HER" as a town meant) |

No, Herne. WAN for Wanne-Eickel would have been more rare, as absorbed at the 1.1.1975 to HER. The 304 of my wife's grandmother had an also extinct DIN (for Dinslaken) on the plate, but neither car or plate exist any more. @Gamer: your area is plate-related one of the most boring in Germany, except some hardcore-details as specific pre-1974 county-seal, you may only find on ancient tractors nowadays. |
