Because of extremely high demand and long waiting list, some importers brought cars, usually from Germany, and sold them here even with raised price sometimes.

I'd guess that this one wasn't originally made for I, but one imported from Germany and with added repeater to conform to our rules. Because of extremely high demand and long waiting list, some importers brought cars, usually from Germany, and sold them here even with raised price sometimes.
